Tafara Screen on the Green movie nights offer family-friendly enjoyment under the stars. Guests can bring chairs or blankets or reserve a gazebo. Show selection varies depending on availability. A variety of popcorn flavors, including Cana infusions, and farm-to-fork delights are available, along with craft cocktails and a cozy fire. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. About Tafara Farm

Located in Top Hill, a part of the world-famous Orange Hill region in the Westmoreland Parish of Jamaica. The farm comprised of rich agricultural land and stunning mountain views sits nestled in a pristine forest wilderness teaming with vibrant natural spaces and a bounty of jungle plants. Today Tafara Farm proudly produces a variety of organic produce, herbs, fruits, vegetable starter plants, shrubs, and botanicals, features a community gathering space, rejuvenating forest bathing experiences, natural infused medicine teas, and a truly unique farm-to-fork foodie experience at the Tafara Bistro.

our story

Caitlin, an Ameri-Canadian living in Jamaica, grew up on a farm in British Columbia, Canada, where her love for organic agriculture flourished. After a very successful career in higher education, she traveled to Jamaica in 2018 and fell in love with the island. Rooted in a strong commitment for community empowerment and upliftment, Caitlin saw an opportunity to assist the smaller communities and farmers of Westmoreland by creating a fun, nurturing family space for learning, growth, healthy living, and plain old good times.

In 2021, Caitlin launched Lush Industries alongside co-visionary Ricardo Negrini, a talented fisherman and farmer from Little Bay, Jamaica. Together, they transformed land into a vibrant farm, community space, restaurant, and training hub for small farmers. Recently they were awarded the MSME Roadshow grant, which affirms and supports their vision for fostering sustainable agriculture and youth training in the region.

Let us unite as global citizens to guide our communities in promoting family health and preserving our planet through water conservation, innovative business initiatives, and sustainable organic practices. Our values revolve around integrity, excellence in products, and a commitment to fair trade principles, all while meticulously crafting superior goods with dedication and compassion.

Philanthropy

Through our Food Sustainability Vision 2025-2030, Tafara Farm actively participates in community initiatives by offering our facilities to educators and supporting philanthropic efforts. We collaborate with The Royal Ethiopian Judah Coptic Church to assist Rastafarian farmers in accessing global markets and partner with local primary schools to provide hands-on agricultural education for young learners. By planting a seed, we nurture growth.

To sustain these vital programs, Tafara Farm generates income from farm tours, events, and the Tafara Bistro, which help finance facilities, community activities, and staff salaries. We also seek grants and donations to ensure our programs remain accessible to all. Your support is invaluable, and we welcome inquiries about potential partnerships.
